This October, Surgo team members headed out to Kent, CT for our Second Annual Corporate Retreat at Club Getaway. The entire NYC staff, in addition to two members from our Mexico office, embarked on this overnight journey.
Surgo kicked off the retreat with a Color War competition where the company was divided into teams to compete in mini games such as relay races and a water balloon toss. Next on the agenda, was a trip out into the woods to take a ride on a Giant Swing and glide through the forest on the Zipline. Other activities included kayaking, volleyball, and basketball.
“It was so much fun stepping away from our everyday tasks and conquering the activity courses with my coworkers. It really shows that this Surgo team can tackle any type of activity when we work together,” said Surgo team member Jacqueline Till.
In the evening, Surgo released the winners of the company’s first ever Mock Elections with categories ranging from “Most likely to survive the Zombie Apocalypse” to “Best Instagram Stories.” Following the awards ceremony, the company enjoyed dinner along with beer pong, karaoke, fire pit and s’mores.
The Second Annual Corporate Retreat proved to be a complete success and a perfect opportunity for employees who do not work together to have the chance to connect with each other outside of the office.
